She was predeceased by: her parents, Grace G. Nash and Joe Willard Nash; her husband Eugene Cook; and her grandson Lane Calkin. She is survived by: her daughter Crystal Calkin; her grandchildren, Cole of Lynchburg, VA, Grey of Lynchburg, VA and Ayla Calkin of Lynchburg, VA; her sister Jean Payne (Wayne) of Mechanicsville, VA.; and also Martin L. Calkin of Roanoke, VA.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
