James Farris Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Farris of Greeneville, Tennessee, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 14, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Farris to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife June Farris; his son-in-law Larry Schofield; his parents, Clarence Farris and Annie Lee Farris; his stepmother Alice Farris; and his siblings, Lavern Mines, Margaret, Louise, Ellen, Betty Sue, Clarence Jr., John, Bobby, Frank and Dale.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Schofield, Karen (Mike Gentry) and James "Butch" Jr. (Karen Farris); his grandchildren, Michael Schofield, Michelle, Hunter Brown, Jeremy, Amanda Gentry, Brandon, Ashley Taylor, Bethany Farris, MJ and Brent Farris; his sisters, Mary Vandermark and Carol Farris; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Farris and Gary (Helen Cutshaw). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service (208 N College St, Greeneville, TN 37745). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the Greenelawn Memory Gardens (4159 Asheville Hwy, Greeneville, TN 37743).
