He was predeceased by: his son James Edward Cruey Jr.; his parents, James Edgar and Annabell Moore Cruey; and his sisters, Corrine Jones, Ruth Louise Johnson and Claudia Renell Wilburn.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Eleanore Cruey; his children, Alice (Eric Fugate), Christy Cruey (Justino Cedillo), Becky Cruey and Michael (Kimberly Cruey); his grandchildren, Jessica King, Katrina Fanning, April Cruey, Heather Cruey, Kendra Cruey, Antonio Medina-Cruey and Anjelina Cruey; and his great grandchild Hayden Fanning. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
