She was predeceased by: her son Tommy Thornburg; her son-in-law Bobby Brooks Sr.; her parents, Walter Jones and Dora Jones; and her siblings, Mary Bryant, Edna Copeland, Louise Wright, Jeanne Long, Albert Jones, Don Jones and Ralph Jones.
She is survived by: her daughter Ann Brooks; her grandsons, Bobby Brooks Jr. and Jeremy D. J. Brooks; and her sister Evelyn (David Dykes). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
