We are sad to announce that on February 3, 2025, at the age of 82, Glenn Edward Ward of Greeneville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hermon Ward and Alpha Ward; his former wife Mitzi Ward; his sisters, Betty Jo Franklin and Joyce Ann Lamb; his nephews, Robin Deyton and Randy Johnson; and his niece Cindy King.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ward; his son Rodney Ward; his stepsons, Steve Mathes (Lynn) of Loudon, TN and Dennie Mathes (Tammy) of McKinney, TX; his stepgrandchildren, Stephen Mathes (Brittany) of Knoxville, TN, Andrew Mathes (Kimberly) of Clermont, FL, Alex and Sophie Mathes of McKinney, TX; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Landon, Ava Mathes of Knoxville, TN, Rylan and Raynor Mathes of Clermont, FL; his siblings, Evelyn Kite, Elmina Johnson and Lloyd Ward; his siblings-in-law, Revonda Johnson (Roy) and Jimmie Dean Coffey (Emma); and his friends, Herbert Waddell (Patsy), Brenda Sexton, Cliff Fluharty (Martha), Wanda Shipley, Dennis McNease (Ducky), Helen Craft, James Cantrell (Fauna), Ken Ottinger, Emma Lou Haney (Otis), Terry Kilgore, Tarp Thompson and Roger Doud. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 7:00 AM at the Doughty-Stevens Chapel (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A reception was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A committal service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the GreeneLawn Memory Gardens (4159 Asheville Hwy, Greeneville, TN 37743).
