She was predeceased by: her parents, A. M. "Abb" Combs and Fannie Walters Combs; and her siblings, Fowler Combs, Kenneth Combs, Willie Kate Hartman, Earnestine Hartman and Virginia Hartman.
She is survived by: her husband Oscar L. Payne, Jr.; her son Douglas L. Payne (Felecia Payne); and her granddaughter Tai Hintz (Ryan). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
