He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Compton and Betty Compton; his parents-in-law, Don and Nancy Mitchell; his brothers-in-law, Danny Laws and Gary Mitchell; and his granddaughter Caylen Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Compton; his children, Gary (Marcey Compton), Chris (Stacie Compton) and Holly; his son-in-law Nick Bailey; his grandchildren, Collin Compton (Amber Ellerman), Noah, Addison Compton, Hannah, Kaylee Compton, Caroline and Carley Bailey; his sister Cheryl Compton Phillips; his sister-in-law Kay Laws; his nieces and nephews, Heather (Larry Jimenez), Mendy Woodall, Danielle (Jason Rush) and Jennifer (Jason Hensley); and also, Judy Bailey, Greg and Liz Bailey.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation.
