She was predeceased by: her husband R. L. "Tom" Carpenter; her parents, Olion Anthony and Altha Anthony; and her siblings, Howard Anthony and Thelma Nell "Sally" Hudson.
She is survived by: her children, Vicki Kirk (Michael) and Scott Carpenter (Maria); her grandsons, Ben Kirk (Meg) and Robert Kirk; her great grandchildren, Lyra and Olen Kirk; her brothers, Olion D. "Funny" Anthony, Horace W. "Dobie" Anthony, Samuel Jack Anthony and Roger D. Anthony; and her sister-in-law Jean Gibson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
