He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Buck" McConnell and Ella McConnell; his son Michael McConnell; and his sister Linda Pearce. He is survived by: his wife Mary McConnell; his children, Dana James (Rod), Kevin McConnell (Sheri), Wendi Blackwell and Joseph McConnell (Laura); and his siblings, Hilda Hoskins and James McConnell (Rebecca). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
