She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Sheffey and Cora Sheffey; and her siblings, Murphy Sheffey, Henry Sheffey, Louella Sheffey, Ruth (Bible) and Audrey (George).
She is survived by: her son Thomas J. Byrd; and her nieces and nephews, Theodore A. George, David George, Steve Sheffey of Arkansas, Tommy Sheffey of Greeneville, Jeanette Estep of Greensboro, NC, Toni George and Stephanie George.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Charlotte's memory to Peggy Conger Byrd Youth House C/O Jonesboro United Methodist Church P.O. Box 115 Jonesboro, TN 37659.
