It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Dawson of Greeneville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 7, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Dawson and Ada Dawson of Anderson County, Kentucky.; his sister Ann Morris; and his son-in-law Murry Holditch. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Dawson; his sister Wilna Thompson; his siblings-in-law, Ralph Morris and Judy Martel (George); his son Mike Dawson (Debbie); his niece Dianna Holditch; his grandchildren, Christian (Lindsey), Trey, Zach, Kent and Seana (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Layla, Braylon, Kierra, Josiah, Jude, Seraiah, Grayson, Emilyn and Sophia.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (211 N Main St, Greeneville, TN 37745). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Graceland Memorial Gardens (101 Graceland Ln, Chuckey, TN 37641).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the charity of your choice or to First Baptist Church.
