She was predeceased by: her husband Frederick Line Quarles; her parents, John Isaac and Allie Biter Black; her siblings, Margaret Ann Black Ealy (Bill), Jane Black McMurray (Charles) and John Daniel Black (Julia); and her nephew Howard Wayne Quarles.
She is survived by: her son Jon Michael (Patricia); her grandchildren, Ina Caroline and Jon Wesley (Alexa); her sister-in-law Nancy Vineyard Quarles; and her caregiver Teresa Sweet.
