She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennie Earl and Flavia Belle Tweed Morelock; her siblings, Shirley Clay, Peggy Russell, Nancy Street, Jimmy, George, Bennie Jr. and Johnnie "J. W." Morelock; and her husband Rev. John L. Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, Michael (Masako Hicks), Eric Hicks (Amber), Vickie (Bobby Raines) and Sandra (Ricky Sharpe). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
