She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Southerland and Eula Southerland; her siblings, Arville Southerland, Wilford Southerland, J. D. Southerland and O'Dean Babb; and her grandchildren, Danielle McGinnis, Jeffery Waddell and DeAnna Carter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Carter, Cynthia Woods and Kimberly Woods; her grandchildren, Lori, Ashley, Angel, Sharon, Samantha Carter, Brant Davis, Christie McGinnis, Elaina Woods and Ruby Bernard; and her siblings, Helen Davis and Bill Southerland (Peggy). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home (1125 Tusculum Blvd, Greeneville, TN 37745). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery (2160 Little Meadow Creek Rd, Greeneville, TN 37743).
