She was predeceased by: her parents, Pern Carter and Dollie Nelms Carter; her daughter JoKema; her sisters, Anne Justis and Pauline Logan; and her nephew Clark Justis.

She is survived by: her husband Kermit Justis; her sister Pat Logan; her children, Bland and Avery; and her grandchild Kemra.
