He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elton and Hazel Mangrum Cole; and his brother James Aubrey "Sonny" Cole. He is survived by: his wife Alice Kathleen Crumpler Cole; his sons, Travis Rhea Cole and Brian Joseph Cole (Jessica); his brothers, Robert Cole and Mike Cole (Joy); his grandson Gentry Rhea Cole; and his friend Larry Perrigo.
