She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Oakes and Elizabeth Bennett Oakes; her daughter Merra Hart Stracener; her grandson Stephen Wesley Stracener; her husband James E. Hart, Sr.; her brother Col. Roy Oakes; her nephew John F. Oakes; and her aunt Lavinia Oakes.
She is survived by: her children, Lorrie Hart Martin and Jimmy Hart, Jr. (Deana); her grandchildren, Lindsey Hart, Brian Martin and Crystal Martin Apple (Jeremiah); her great grandchildren, Alexa Riley, Jordan Martin, Julian Martin, Jonah Martin, Jeremiah Apple, Jr. and Sylas Cummings; her nephew Mike Oakes (Lori); her niece Jennifer Oakes; and her great-nephew Caleb Oakes.
