He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Haggard and Lillian Scott Haggard; his son Louis Wayne Haggard; his siblings, John Columbus "J. C." Haggard and Dora Elizabeth Haggard; his stepbrother Robert Bowers; and his former wife Charolette Hipps Haggard.

He is survived by: his close friend Evelyn Darden. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
