He was predeceased by: his wife Clara Ramsey; his daughter Kelly Elrod; his grandchildren, Jennifer Marshall Dukes, Matthew Swafford and Oliver Taylor Kerns; his parents, Ebb Ramsey and Bessie Ramsey; and his siblings, Inez Steele, Ida Walker, Betty Stamey, Johnny, Bill and Bud Ramsey.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Ramsey (Sherry), Eva, Linda Denton (Tim) and Brenda Kerns (Gene); and his close friends, Kay Snyder and Tammy Morgan (Bud). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Standefer-Reed Funeral Home (50 May Rd, Dunlap, TN 37327). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
