He was predeceased by: his parents, William Barnes and Ella Mae Jones Barnes; and his siblings, George Barnes and Linda Mae Barnes. He is survived by: his sister Brenda Brinkley; his nieces and nephews, Johnny Brinkley (Cindy), James Brinkley (Christine), Linda Hurley (Rodney), Darren Barnes and Jonavan Barnes (Katie); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jessica Brinkley, Justin Brinkley, Dakota Hurley, Kelsey Hurley, Dallas Brinkley, Kristy Hall and Rachel France; and also, Madison, Makayla, McKinley, Macey, Erin, Thaileigh, Ella, Mary, Isaac and Mike. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gray United Methodist Church.
