With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melba Poteat of Gray, Tennessee, who passed away on November 12, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Harrison and Maxine Milhorn Harrison; and her sister Joann Medlin. She is survived by: her husband Steve Poteat; her children, David Poteat of Gray and Amy Ledford; her siblings, James Harrison of Kingsport, Richard Harrison of Piney Flats and Brenda Campbell of Gray; and her grandchildren, Adam Poteat, Lindsay Paul and Mikala Ledford. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
