He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Hamblin and Laura Lucinda Walthall Hamblin; and his brother Philip Hamblin. He is survived by: his wife Richelle B. "Shelly" Hamblin; his children, Shannon Hobson, Marshall Hamblin (Sarah), Jonathan Hamblin and Jessica Kirk (Tom); his stepchildren, Trevor Dougherty and Ryan Dougherty; his siblings, Paula Baucom (John), Carol Curlee (Barry), Mitzi Hamblin and James H. Hamblin, Jr. (Tina); and his sister-in-law Raynelle B. Hamblin. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local humane society.
