He is survived by: his wife Janet Birchfield (Lewis); his children, Nioka Graves (Mike), Danny Wayne Birchfield, Calvin Whistine, Helen Whistine of Gray, TN and Pam Nunley of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Ashley Miller of Gray, TN., Nicko Calhoun of Gray, TN., Kencie Nunley of Gray, TN. and Blake Calhoun of Gray, TN.; his great grandchildren, Storm of Gray, TN., Jordon of Gray, TN., Nicko II of Gray, TN., Jaivan of Gray, TN., Josiah of Gray, TN. and Kaileyana of Gray, TN.; his sisters, Connie Colbaugh (Rick) of Watauga, Vickie Fillers (Bryan) of Johnson City, TN, Teresa Holtsclaw of Bluff City and Angela Dugger of Gray; and his siblings-in-law, Bruce Lewis and Pam Douthat (Mike).
A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the River of Life Baptist Church (819 N Austin Springs Rd, Piney Flats, TN 37686).
