He was predeceased by: his parents, C. J. Matherly and Bernice Arnold Matherly; and his sons, Dennis Lee Matherly and Mark Jerry Matherly. He is survived by: his brother Leland Matherly; his grandchildren, Joshua and Alysa Matherly; his siblings, Janice Wilson and Jerry Matherly; his uncle Elwood Arnold; and his aunts, Sue Arnold, Pearl Matherly and Corrine Arnold.
