He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bonnie Dean and James Dean; his sisters, Mildred, Thelma and Irene; his wife Marie Allen Dean; his children, Chris Dean (Alicia) and Kelly Johnson (Scott); his grandchildren, Kayla Cantrell, Madison Dean, Cameron Dean, Jordan Mancini (Jake), Mallory O'Brien (Andrew) and Andrew Johnson; his great grandchild Aubree Cantrell; and his brother Don (Sharon).
