He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Reed and Arthie Edwards Reed; his wife Shirley E. Reed; his daughter Christy Reed; and his siblings, Floyd "Junior" Reed, Ben Reed, Cartis Reed, Arville "Cobb" Reed, William Reed, Beulah Cox and Sally Lowery.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Chris Armstrong (Danielle) of Grandview, Tennessee and Jessica Gilliam (Korey) of Grandview, Tennessee; and his great grandchildren, McKenzie Phipps, Landon Gilliam, Peyton Gilliam, Layken Gilliam, Josie Armstrong and Theodore Armstrong.
