She was predeceased by: her parent James Edward; her husband Richard "Dick" Murphy; and her siblings, Betty King, Maxine Scott, Shirley Holloway, James O'Dear, Gary O'Dear and Uncle Dan Wheat.
She is survived by: her parent Mamie Garner O'Dear; her children, Trina Stuk (Don) of Middleville, Triva Womack (Jimmy) of Spencer, Shelia Wilson (Chris Goins) of Grandview and Leland Reed (Maria) of San Diego; and her siblings, Homer O'Dear of Grandview and Barbara King of Sewanee. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rhea County Animal Shelter-Animal Shelter Alliance of Rhea at 9118 Back Valley Road, Evensville, TN 37332.
