He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Keaton and Lula McKinney Keaton; his son Wendell Keaton; and his siblings, Henry Keaton, Basil Keaton, Ray Keaton, Robert Keaton, Larry Keaton, Joseph Keaton, Edna Birchfield, Ethel Birchfield, Violet Wood, Helen Beach and Shelby Keaton.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Keaton of Grandview, Tennessee; his daughter Gail Morgan (Dave) of Grandview, Tennessee; his granddaughter Jonie Ricks (Barry) of Johnson City, Tennessee; and his great grandchildren, Jenna Beamer, Tiffany Holt and Kaitlyn Harmon. He is also survived by his five great-great grandchildren.
