He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Baird Nixon and Lila Ferrell Nixon; his aunts, Ruby Law and Nancy Anderson; his uncle J. K. Ferrell; and his wife Dixie Elenburg.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joanne Nixon Bullock (John) of Gulf Shores, AL and John Nixon of Murfreesboro, TN; his brother-in-law Glenn Anderson of Nashville, TN; his children, Mary Beth Craig (Jack) of Cincinnati, OH, Thomas F. Nixon (Heba) of Huntsville, AL and Dr. Alex Nixon of Guntersville, AL; and his grandchildren, Ramsis, Jackson, Katelyn, Robert, Mary, Aiden, Isaac and Hudson.
