He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Ballard and Mecie Ballard; his brothers, John Ballard, Bill Ballard and Charles "Cotton" Ballard; and his daughter Paula Ballard.
He is survived by: his wife Teresa Ballard; his daughters, Penny Kinslow, Pamela Ballard and Rachel Kelley (Jon); and his sister Hattie Marie Brown of Australia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
