He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Kirby Ball; his parents, Herbert L. Sr. Ball and Kathleen Collins Ball; and his siblings, Harold R. "Tony" Ball and Betty Johnston.
He is survived by: his children, David Ball, Brenda Hyde (Jim) and Linda Middleton (Bill); his grandchildren, Cammie Duncan (John) and Andy Hyde (Lisa); his great grandchildren, Amy, Katie Hyde and Madi Duncan; and his pet Scruffy.
