He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Grady Ellis and Henry Margarette Nixon Ellis; and his son Randy Dewayne Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Edna Ruth Ellis of Temperance Hall, TN.; his children, Donnie Ellis (Tonya) of Alexandria, TN, Kenneth Ellis of Alexandria, TN, Juanita Howell (Michael) of Brush Creek, TN and Felecia Vantrease (Bob) of Temperance Hall, TN.; and his grandchildren, Miranda Grant, Kayla Ellis, Killian Ellis, Andrew Ellis (Jamie), Emily Howell, Kelsey Doss (Brandon), Taylor Ellis, Paige Grigg (Ian), Colin Howell (Trinity), Lynsey Ellis and John Ellis.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Home (71 E Main St, Gordonsville, TN 38563). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
