It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Laverne Thomas of Goodspring, Tennessee, who passed away on July 8, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Hood and Francis Nave Hood; her husband Billy James Thomas; her children, Roger Thomas and Connie Hickman; her brothers, Devon and Miles Hood; her sisters-in-law, Glenda Hood, Jean Hood and Debbie Hood; and her close friend Charlie Fry.

She is survived by: her son Ronnie Thomas (Sherry) of Pulaski; her siblings, Dale Hood (Linda) of Pulaski, Wade Hood (Joyce) of Pulaski, Stanley Hood of Ardmore, AL, Rickey Hood (Leslie) of Pulaski, Loyd Hood (Wynell) of Lobelville, TN, Myra Sutton (JC) of Pulaski, Brenda Brown of Decatur, AL and Martha Britton (Randy) of Pulaski; her grandchildren, Heath Hickman, Heather Prier (Mitch Hoppe), John Hickman and Tyler Bivins; her great grandchild Mason Hickman; her sister-in-law Salley Abernathy Hood of Pulaski; and her close friend Pam Newton of Pulaski. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
