He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Robert Hester and Montie Hester; his daughters, Deena and Rachel; and his brother-in-law George Wheat.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Hester (Wheat); his son Robert "Rob" Hester; and his siblings-in-law, Cleo Carroll, Judy Wheat and James Wheat (Brenda). He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
