He was predeceased by: his parent Nolen J. Launius; his wife Barbara; and his brother Phillip. He is survived by: his parent Beatrice J. Launius (David); his children, Tamara Foster (Tony), Joyce Finch (Michael), Ellen Gates (Raymond) and Robert Launius (Sabine); and his siblings, Harold Launius, John Launius and Phyllis Freeman. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
