He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Burklow Vaughn and Jesse Dalton Vaughn, Sr.; his daughter Michele Olson; and his siblings, Wayne Vaughn, Joyce Hardiman, Wesley Vaughn, Douglas Vaughn, David Vaughn and Billy Vaughn.

He is survived by: his wife Susanna Vaughn of Goodlettsville, TN; his children, Janet Lloyd (Bob) of Hendersonville, TN, Teresa Crosslin (Richard) of Hendersonville, TN and Mark Vaughn (Melissa) of Gallatin, TN.; his grandchildren, Andrew Lloyd, Rachel Crosslin, Jack Vaughn and Paul Vaughn; and his siblings, Dalton Vaughn of Dover, TN, Rosalyn Moss (Donald) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Sharon Stone (Dennis) of Jacksonville, FL and Carmen Adkisson of Kingston Springs, TN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
