She was predeceased by: her husband Pete Mitchell; and her parents, Simpson Deere and Harriett Deere. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Pendergrass (Ron) and Harriett Underwood; and her grandchildren, Katrina Zeligman (Shawn), Joanie Underwood, Josh Pendergrass (Emily) and Emily Clay. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Her mental alertness was always a surprise, and her memory of the olden days opened up interesting topics of conversation when we visited her. The promises in the word assure us that she is now still very much alive, just in another location. She has perfect hearing, she is walking straight and doesn't need a neck pillow.
