She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Trimm and Ruby Pearl (Channell); her stepmother Mattie Lou Hamner (Capps); and her siblings, Vera Ann Akins (Hamner) and William Franklin Hamner.
She is survived by: her nephew Edward Brack Mitchell, Sr. (Candice L. McClure); and her grandsons, Eddie, Jr. (Nicole) and Brian James (Jessie).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dr. Mildred Hamner Endowed Fund at the UABSON.
