She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Earl Carpenter, Sr.; her son Thomas Earl Carpenter Jr.; her parents, John W. Reynolds, Sr. and Josephine Gober Reynolds; and her siblings, John W. Reynolds, Jr. and Marietta Hampton.
She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Hill (Charles), Emily Judd-Boone (James) and Laurale Curtsinger (Steve). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.
