Melvin Wayne Bess Jr. (Teresa); his wife Ruth Bess; his daughter Kathy Bess Locke (Jeff); his grandchildren, Melissa Bess Terrell (Leslie), Melody Bess Cothern (Daniel) and Alan Locke (Kathyrn); his brothers, Wesley Bess (Martha), James Bess (Isabel) and David Bess (Jennifer); and his close friend Rev. Jerry Heflin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
