She was predeceased by: her parents, Miguel Hernandez Villanueva and Rita of Rangel Villanueva. She is survived by: her children, San Juanita Bustamante, Flor Avalos, Miguel Antonio Bustamante and Hipolito Avalos; her daughter-in-law Karen Marin; her granddaughters, Vanessa Bustamante and Melanie Avalos; and her siblings, Enrique Villanueva, Carmen Villanueva and Emma Villanueva. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
