He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie William Hunter Sr. and Lola B. Vetetoe Hunter; his siblings, Kenneth Wayne Kerr and Judy Brake; and his grandsons, Dillian and Wyatt Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Dina Hunter; his children, Johnnie Hunter III, Jimmy Hunter (Gina), Wade Hunter (Darlene), Jeff Hunter (Sara) and Lola Worthington; his grandchildren, Johnnie Hunter IV, Justin Hunter, Christopher Hunter, Austin Hunter, Morgan Wallace, Joseph Hunter, Jason Hunter, Cassie Hunter and Cali Blair; and his great grandchildren, Johnnie V, Alexis, Cameron, Emilia, Elowen, Scottlynn, Jaxson, Jonathan, Brody, Skylar, Jensen, Conner, Raelynn, Jaylen, Grace, Bentlee and Bo.
