He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Thomas and Laura Louise Thomas (Troutt); and his aunt Thelma Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Linda Fay Thomas (Patterson); his son James Robert Thomas; his grandchildren, Christopher Aaron, Trevor Morgan and Sydney Rae; his great grandchildren, Sophia Elizabeth Thomas and Abigail Reese Thomas; his siblings, Roger Dale Thomas, Richard Lee Thomas, Linda Troutt Motley (Ronald) and Sheila Elaine Harris (Steve); his brother-in-law John Patterson; and his friend Bob Overton. He is also survived by many other friends and extended family.
