He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Taylor and Myra Donegan; his wife Faye Nicks Taylor; his brothers, William B. Taylor and Thomas B. Taylor; and his granddaughter Leslie Armstrong.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Knox, Kelley Gilbert (Keary), Joe C. Taylor Jr. (Jackie) and Kevin Taylor (Melissa); his grandchildren, Christina Kellner (Eric), Whitney Knox, Madison Taylor, Allison Taylor, Christopher Ashby, Kelsey Burton (Jerold), Kyle Gilbert and Nicki Seay (Chancey); and his great grandchildren, Makayla Armstrong, Mason Armstrong, Hannah Jolly, Levi Jolly and Emma Kellner.
