It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Filson of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 8, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Filson and Christine Filson; and his siblings, James Filson, Bill Filson, Peggy Anderson, Mary Ann Overby and David Filson.
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Julie Filson of Hendersonville, TN, Jason Filson (Lorrie) of Gray, TN and Jennifer Troth of Lexington, KY.; his grandchildren, Noah Filson, Gabe Filson, Graham Filson, Alex Troth and Emily Troth; his siblings, Morris Filson (Heather) and Barbara Humphreys; and his sister-in-law Betty Filson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Jerry will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, followed by a celebration of life service at 2:00 PM. *We respectfully request that everyone wear a mask for visitation and service.
