He is survived by: his spouse Rhonda Fowlkes Benson; his daughter Farrah Benson; his siblings, Edwin W. "Ed" Benson, Jr. (Jamie) of Nashville, TN, Victoria Buchanan (Ron) and Linda Ferber (Ralph); and his nephews, Edwin Benson, III (Jennifer), Todd McNeely and Holland Benson.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Walden's Puddle Wildlife Rehab in Joelton, TN. (waldenspuddle.org.
