He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Edward Gayle and Katherine Lemley Gayle; and his brother Thomas Lemley Gayle. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Judy Gayle; his nieces and nephews, Andrea Gayle Hess (Rik), Amanda Gayle Salter (Derek), Tony Lewis (Dana), Andy Lewis (Melissa) and Anitra Lewis; his friend Brenda Lane; and also, Michael and Kirstie.
