He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Bethel Groves and Gracie Bell Groves (Hester); his former wife Margie Groves (Nunley); his son Donald; his wife Mary Groves (Bryant); and his brother Charles R. Groves.
He is survived by: his children, David D. Groves, Deborah D. Whitson and Donna D. Shepherd (Mike). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as extended family members and friends.
