It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettye Ruth (Murphy) Balthrop of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, who passed away on February 3, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Murphy and Mary Murphy (Green); her significant other Preston Balthrop; her daughter Margaret Rhodes (Balthrop); and her sister Maybelle Edwards (Murphy) of Springfield, TN..
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Jane Balthrop (Sherman Hanks); her son-in-law Bill Rhodes; her son Hal (Kerri); and her grandchildren, Bart (Julie) of Goodlettsville, Jason Garrison (Beth), Ashley Rhodes Jones (Steven), Keely Balthrop Higbie (Michael), Caitlin Balthrop Moffitt (Josh), Halston Balthrop (Brittney) and Tyler Balthrop.
