We are sad to announce that on November 14, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Betty Sue (Gillihan) Mayo of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, born in Nashville, Tennessee. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Betty Sue is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Betty Sue's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Gillihan and Annie Gillihan (Talbot); and her sisters, Ann Miller and Patricia Kemper. She is survived by: her husband Dorris Wayne Mayo; her son Greg Mayo (Susan); and her grandchildren, Carter Mayo and Griffin Mayo.
A reception will be held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home & Cremation Center (353 E Main St, Hendersonville, TN 37075).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Betty's honor to the National Audubon Society. Make a donation to one of the following charities in remembrance of Betty Sue (Gillihan) Mayo.
